After a five-year silence, Shadowary returns with “Hourglass”, a single that melds haunting piano melodies with crushing guitar riffs to tell a story of redemption. This track marks a new chapter for the band, encapsulating frontman Benny Ng’s journey of musical discovery and reinvention.

Shadowary first made waves with their 2019 debut EP, “MANIFEST”. However, Benny felt the need to evolve, seeking inspiration beyond his longtime idols, Linkin Park. Exploring a range of genres and diving deep into the metalcore scene, he discovered the genre’s perfect balance of heaviness and melody. With the addition of grand piano motifs, Benny crafted a sound that is both raw and ethereal.

“Hourglass” dives deep into the struggle of confronting one’s past mistakes, offering an anthemic plea for redemption through raw, heartfelt lyrics.

“Hourglass” was a global effort – brought to life with the help of producer Uros Borsic (Slovenia), vocal engineer Ben Worsey (Australia), mixer Matt Dougherty (USA), and mastering engineer Fred Miller (Denmark).
